Funny no one has Chad Dawson on their list. He's a pure boxer in every sense of the word.

so only if you never stop anybody do you get title of 'boxer'.?
Wladimir Klitschko you can make the case is as good a 'boxer' as is Floyd Mayweather Jr. Just different styles, different strenghts and weaknesses.

        1. Wladimir Klitschko
        2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Oh and Juan Diaz is not a pure boxer, he's a volume puncher, Miguel Cotto is more of a slugger with good boxing skills, and Ivan Calderon is a runner.

Oh and if Shane Mosley isn't on anyones list, than neither should Bernard Hopkins be. Yes their both old, but their both boxers. And I find it funny that Felix Sturm is on someone's list, he's a joke.

A good boxer should have an effective jab.

Mosley is actually kind of a brawler with fast hands, nothing more.

I'd put Casamayor on the list. A Cuban who fights like a Cuban is technical in every sense of the word.

He's not top five but I would give Andre Berto an honorable mention. Sure he brings the fight most of the time but he does have great technique. I know someone on here is going to shout Rivera when it comes to his defense but just about everyone of the fighters mentioned in this thread has been down at least once, including Mayweather. Berto is quick and accurate with his punches. Other than that, Bringer, your list is pretty hard to argue.
