the first fight was 8 months later not a year, and the rematch was 6 months later... and he didnt try to lose the weight til he entered his 8 week training camp.. thats what killed him.

I was referring to the time between the fight with Ruiz and the second fight with Tarver which was over a year (14 months i think).

He didn`t have to cut a huge amount of weight for the rematch with Tarver because he had already lost the weight for the first one and weighed 175 for both.

I think you have to take Jones' weight loss with a pinch of salt.

Is it biologically possible to add 20 pounds of muscle in 6 months without the aid of steroids. Any bodybuilder will tell you this is impossible.

It is therefore a fair assumption that most of the weight that Jones added was either

    A) not muscle

    B) muscle tissue as a result of taking steroids plus excess fat/water

Stopping a cycle of steroids causes muscle atrophy which can cause rapid weight loss.

he's talking about asking for a rematch after getting beaten up, not the manner in which it occurred,

theirs no way he would get ko earlier cuz he would not use as much energy tring to ko mayweather....im telling you most of his loss came to his own actions all that takes a toll on you hugging pushing pulling thats why mayweather was able to tko the guy chz he was tired

oh ok figuratively speaking , still lacy got beaten so badly its hard not to make it a literal comparison.

Agreed, I saw that towel. Nothing against Hatton, and I admire him for fighting on and wanting to be remember as a champion, but I can't see him beating Mayweather.

Yeah Hatton although many thought his style would cause problems or FLoyd has been in soft, his average opponent has I think 22 wins 9 losses. And Floyds avg opponent had 26 wins 5 losses.
