Clearly this thread is done, judging by the foolishness being discussed. But to throw in my 2 cents, flow would need to give up his belts to fight Oscar, or be stripped, unless the WBC gives him an extension for the Oscar fight. In which case he would have to agree to defend against his mandatory WBC fighter Andre Berto. The Ring belt he has couldnt be stripped becuz The Ring doesnt strip its champions.Comment

You can't really compare the others. Floyd only defended the title once and that was with Hatton. But, that does not really count, based upon the fact that Hatton didn't really belong at welterweight, what for one night...so we go back to the question. When and who did Floyd defend the title against ????? we are not speaking of no other weightclass, just welterweight...The answer is NO-ONE. Then he turns around and is getting ready to fight Ocar for another big payday. You're god-damn right they should strip him of the ****in belt, for being a chump and a coward, and for not facing the number one contender who ever it maybe whether its Margo, Paul Williams, or Cotto. However, the WBA champ is Cotto so I believe that should make him the number one contender.
But, that puss, doesn't want no part of Cotto, Floyd does not fear none of these boxers, but, he fears the prospect of losing...That is why he will never
fight Cotto, Williams, or Margarito. All of them can hand him his first loss, and
Floyd doesn't want that. To all of the boxing fans out there, Boxing is not like
it once was 20 yrs. ago...Today anyone can just buy their way into a fight,
like Oscar. What belt does he have ??? None! He is not even in the top ten rank. And the powers that be just let him do what ever the **** he wants, how about the other contenders ??? It is not fair to them. However, in a way,it is thier fault too, because they put up with the **** and don't open their mouths. They must protest, or even boycott his {Floyd's} fights. Cotto is a dumb-ass. If any body has the right to complain is him. They used to call it the mandatory # 1 challenger...Now it is called the one that comes with the most cheddar {$$$}...... I tell you this sport needs to clean house. Another thing, they should not allow anyone to box over the age of 40. Look at Holyfield ... he comes and goes when ever he wants, and they give him a title shot. Then they - Oscar, Arum, Don King - Have the balls to say we want to give the boxing fans what they want to see. Yeah right! MFr's, we the hard-working people, are the fools that fall for that ****. $59.95 out of our pockets. Then after the fight we go to turn off the TV and we say to ourselves, damn they got me again - that was a half-ass boxing match. I am not ordering another PPV again. That lasts until the next mainevent, Then we do it all over again and again. I don't know folks, but, something has got to give. Either we stop giving in to this boxing BS until the powers that be notice the PPV decline and put up better boxing shows or they are going to lose a lot of boxing fans. Well peeps I'm out.
