Penalosa has always been a good fighter. I think he's a little long in the tooth for his weight class at this point, but I wouldn't sell him short when he was in his prime.
He's 35 now and did ko Gonzalez and my thing on that is, if you can't make the weight class, don't fight in it.
I was kind of disappointed in him in the Ponce de Leon fight. He was obviously the better boxer, he coulda done more to impress the judges in that one.

He's never been ko'ed and fought pretty good fighters well, so don't treat him like he was some flash in the pan sensation that got lucky.
