I would not go all out and say Mayweather is afraid of Cotto. Weary of him yes. I also believe he thinks he can beat Cotto. Why wouldn't he as he has never tasted defeat.

He also knows that even in winning, Cotto could make him piss blood for a week afterwards. It would be a hellacious fight and one he would like to avoid if possible at this stage of his career.

      Great post!

I agree with this at times but then again I don't..
I go back and forth so I would say I'm undecided.

Mayweather didn't fight much of a decent opposition at 140, what makes you think that he would fight anybody who's elite at 147 that hasn't shown a great weakness. He fought Zab,a mental case with a china plate for a chin. He fought Sharmba at 147. Sharmba's arms are so short that he can't even wipe his ass without help. He fought Baldomir, a lucky champion with no apparent skill, speed or power. He fought DLH at 154 who was way past it and they both stunk it out. He fought Hatton at 147, having seen Hatton fight once at 147 and struggle mightily against a lower-level contender. Hatton also opened his mouth after the fight, and luckily for Floyd the fight was being held in U.S. where he had Joe Cortez. If the fight was in England Floyd never knocks out Ricky. Ricky went for broke after the referee ****ed him the whole night and got koed.

Oscar De LeHoya is a better boxer then Cotto...Id pick Oscar to tax Cotto.

Diego Corralles was better then Cotto is right now.

                So was JLC...AND Genaro Hernandez.

Floyds seen them all..Cotto is nothing new...Him and Floyd will fight..Cotto will lose.....badly...and the forums will say he has to fight Pavlik...

All I gotta say is Rich Rod you better win some big games maybe not next year, but in the future or your hiring was a mistake. Sorry Im just upset becuause you failed to get Terrelle Pyror to Ann Arbor. His first battle with Ohio State and he loses, unfortunately that has happened to often of late. In the end though GO BLUE! and **** Terrelle Pryor.

What's funny is the fact that Floyd and Cotto's common opponents, Cotto has battered and destroyed them while Floyd had plenty of difficulties with the same fighters.
