Well I wasn't so much criticising his Choice of opponents nearly as much as I was wondering why is STILL the WBC welter Weight Champ... I dont care if he picks and chooses who he fights.. He has that status.. But He is not above the rules the sport.. and Neither is Jose Sulliman.. Just who the **** does that guy think he is anyways???

Cotto fought those VERY SAME guys, and beat them by KO, and TKO!
Cotto also got seriously hurt against every single one of those guys. A KO when you lose rounds isn't better than a one-sided UD. All it means is that you have more power and/or fought the guys after they were on their downside. Whatever though man...convince yourself whatever you want to believe. That just means when/if Floyd ever does fight and beat Cotto it's going to hurt you folks that much more.

It's not a rule of the sport that you have to fight a mandatory. The IBO doesn't enforce mandatories and that's one of the reasons why they consider themselves less corrupt than the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO.

It is a rule of the WBC that fighter defend their title against mandatories, but Suilaman is the President of the WBC. So, if he wants to make up rules and his board of directors signs off then what is anyone else going to do?

But my question is why does anyone care? So, what if he gets stripped of the WBC title? I mean Andre Berto could fight Tony Margarito for that title, but that wouldn't make the winner the champ. Floyd would still be the man who beat the man.

You are OK with this???.. You are a clever enough of a bloke to know the smell of **** when you step in it right???

I think that depends on the particular circumstances of each fight and exatly which fighters are involved but just being very general a KO is the most descisive way you can win a fight.

It's all corrupt man, all of it is fishy. You can tell Suliman wants to keep that belt on Floyd for as long as he fights. Keeping the belt on Floyd is very profitable and he knows this.

Thats very funny Mayweather's the only fighter in the world that is in a neverending voluntary stage. When was the last time Floyd fought a mandatory. It's easy to always look good and win when you always get to pick who you fight.
Henry Brussles was a mandatory in order for him to be Gatti's mandatory, but other than that, Floyd has been jumping weight divisions and hasnt held one belt long enough to warrent a mandatory.
If your looking for his mandatories, look at his competition from 130 to 135.

So I guess, if Floyd decides to fight Cotto, who ISN'T his mandatory, then he's just a little *****.

Cotto beat damaged goods, so what? That's like giving Oscar more credit for beating any opponents that Trinidad already beat on.

Berto is better than Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchel, Hatton and more than likely Judah. Just admit Floyd has little balls if any and I promise I'll shut up. Until that just go back to stroking Floyds nutless wiener under the blanket after Floyd and you are done playing patty cake you can share this LOL!

First of man get your facts straight. Floyd fought Corley in a mandatory eliminator. Gatti got the WBC to allow him to duck Floyd for awhile while Gatti fought some easy money fights. So, Floyd had to fight ANOTHER WBC eliminator. The only rated contender available at the time was Henry Bruseles. So, that is who Floyd fought. So, Corley and Bruseles were title eliminators that Floyd fought in order to force Gatti into a title fight.

That whole process took up 18 months of Floyd's career. So, I don't want to hear excuses from other fighters about not getting the fights they want. Floyd took 18 months out of his career to get a money fight that he wanted enforced AND he was already a star by that point.

If you really want a fight bad enough to get it. Margarito and them are just trying to get their promoters to get them the fights they want, which is cool whatever, but Floyd wasted 18 months because he wanted the Gatti fight.

Of course you can say that Gatti wasn't good or that Corley wasn't good or whatever, but ever since Floyd fought Castillo people have been complaining about every fight for whatever reason. Floyd only wanted to become a star and be able to retire early. I think he's gotten to the point where he accomplished that. Everyone else is just hating on him because he has what they want.
