Pavlik on the other hand, was only picked to beat Zertuche this year, and knocked out all three of them. Including a practically undefeated and hungry contender and an undefteated middleweight champion...

Odds have everything to do with this. Who was favored over who.

Now if DLH and Hatton were his only options then okay maybe. ANd im not saying Floyd shouldnt have taken those fights because they both made a lot of sense. Im not discrediting him for that. But when you have guys like Cotto out there, who he would come in at a slight favorite over, and you dont fight him, u dont win fighter of the year.

Shouldnt you have to beat SOMEBODY thats among the best in ur division??? Pavlik beat Taylor, THE BEST in the division, and MIRANDA, at the time the #1 contender...

Pavlik was in their with a champion who arguably lost all but one of his last 5 fights and a MW who was weight drained and was one dimesional. You see what I did there? I can do that **** as well. The were FighterOTY victories because they were THE TWO BIGGEST FIGHTS OF THE YEAR. Floyd beat an ATG and a fighter who was ON THE P4P BEST IN THE WORLD LIST. Look at your peurile attempts to grasp at straws talking about other fighters to fight. There are ALWAYS more fighters to fight but luckily for Floyd the two he DID fight turned him from the best in the sport to a mainstream superstar. He deserves it as much as Pavlik does in every way shape and form.

Eh, pointless to argue on who won LAST years FOTY. I thought Pavlik would have been a VERY deserving pick, but PBF won it, and it is what is. No sense crying over whats been done.

I predict we will see a masterful performance by PBF.
