I'd rather see cotto vs mayweathe rjust like every one else but floyd deserved foty more than anyone. Floyd is my favorite fighter right now so I wont argue with that but I wouldnt of argued with pavlik as foty as well. Nor would I of cotto as well. Many sites choose cotto, many choose floyd and many choose pavlik. Its a pick'em title.

That's the point, Floyd deserved the win but I would have no problem with it if Pavlik or Cotto would have won. So STOP with all the bitchin'.

id have to say pavlik... 3 fights... from knocking out a prospect, to knocking out a top 10 contender, to knocking out the champion... you cant really beat that inside a year.

Everyone who says it was Mayweather uses the fact that he was in the 2 biggest fights of this year as their proof.

Mayweather was a 2-1 favorite against an old, DLH. And he wooped Hatton who was hopelessly outclassed from the start.

Pavlik went from untested Contender to World Middleweight champ in 3 fights, all inside the same year.... and ALL three of those fights had FOTY action and he knocked out all three of those fighters

yea i still cannot believe Mayweather won the award.

Im not saying he had a bad year, he absolutely didnt. He had a fantastic fantastic year and im sure you'd agree.

But Pavlik had an AMAZING year last year.

Let me put it this way. Before '07, very few hardcore boxing fans really knew who he was. Now in '08 you'd be hard pressed to find a single boxing fan who hasnt seen Pavlik fight.

beating zertuche, miranda and taylor are hard to argue with, especially when they all come by ko. But bitching ( no offense at all ) isnt going to change who fighter of the year is. Like I said before its strictly opinion. All three candidates accomplished quite a bit and these three stars brought us an amazing 2007 and did it without losing. Thats something we can all agree on.

Going by money numbers which one was the second biggest? Because Tyson/Lewis did 1.8 million buys for 103 million in the U.S. and then did another 750 K buys over in the U.K.
Then you have Tyson/Holyfield I and II which both did huge numbers.
