Pavlik is a real fighter which is why he downs Roy Jones, at this point.

Roy hasn't improved he's just fought mediocrities.

Prince Ali Baba was absolutely attrocious and had no business in the same ring as Roy. Hanshaw was a good little fighter but he had no business at 168.

Back when Roy was at 160 and 168, Roy would of made short work with Pavlik. He's just that ****ing good when he was younger. It's no fluke that he fought something like 18 world titlists or champs in his career.

I would go there and go there with confidence if this was following a Pavlik victory against Taylor. I need him to win that fight to gain 100% confidence in him and I dont think especially Toney is any way a bigger puncher than Kelly is. The Royster just didn't face many if any comparable punchers to Kelly in him prime or at 160.

I've been watching Pavlik fight, he's somewhat slow and has defense liabilities. Don't get me wrong Pavlik is a good boxer, but a consistent boxer with no mental weakness would give Pavlik lots of trouble. A fighter like Chad Dawson would tear him to pieces, Roy in his prime would make him look like an amateur. Pavlik is good, but I see some holes in his game that an excellent boxer could exploit.

Also his punches are somewhat telegraphed you can see them coming, he does not have the fastest handspeed.

Pavlik pretty much eats him alive. I think with a 1st round tko if he wants it.
