Wouldn't it be better for the sport of boxing if Oscar fought Margarito and Mayweather fought Cotto and the winners squared off after that? It makes sense for everyone and the sport itself. Right now Oscar and Floyd are the two main PPV draws and Pac coming in third I guess. And sometime Oscar and Floyd are gonna retire and there will be no "face" for the sport but if Oscar and Floyd let Cotto and Margarito get into the limelight it would open up so many more doors and could be that surge that boxing is looking for!!!! Just makes more sense for the big time PPV draws to bring other fighters up to there $$$$ level or success or however you look at it!!!!

I actually totally agree. Well Not about Marg vs Oscar but about the concept of if the big names fight some of these younger stars than they can produce MORE big names. The more big names we have in this sport the better. Look at Oscar/Floyd. That fight allowed for another fighter to reach close to the level of DLH. That's the way it should be.

not if we quit bitchin and dnt buy this ****. Ima a PBF fan but a boxing fan aswell. I work damn hard for my money and I dnt like to be toyed with. I payed 50 for tito and roy bcuz neither fighter came to lay dwn and there was no gimmick behind it. Floyd could have ko'd de la hoya inthe first fight if he stepped up the gas but his greedy ass wanted 2 secure a rematch and de la hoya and his nieve ass fans feed into the BS. Lets stop crying bout this and ignore these leaches.

Funny how people say that "Cotto needs Floyd" When its actually the other way around. Yes Floyd might hold the WW title, but Cotto has accomplished more at that weight than Floyd. Right now, it looks as if Floyd wants no part of Cotto. Now how does that look? It looks really bad. Your the recognized WW champ, yet u dont want to face the man regarded as the #1 contender in your weight class. A man that 99% of the boxing world is demanding you fight. So who really looks worst right now? Cotto, a man who is willing to take on ANYBODY in his weight division. Or Floyd, a man who wants to look beneath and above his weight division for a fight? Yes, Floyd is the man right now, but Cotto is seen as the man to beat. Edge here goes to Cotto. He's earned his respect in the sport, and never has any excuses why not to fight someone.

The funny thing about that is Mayweather was a better fighter at the time of there fight and he had to do whatever DLH said and that's what we are saying is wrong with boxing, these people have PPV names but not PPV quality of fighting left in the tank. DLH, Holyfield, Roy Jones Jr, or Tito Trinidad have no business headlining a PPV event!!!!

The longer the delay Cotto vs Mayweather, the worse it'll be for Mayweather.

I mean think about it...He fought Old Oscar last May. He fought Bum Hatton in December, and now he's gonna fight Older Oscar??

Cotto vs Mayweather will eventually happen. All this talk we're doing now is what they want and need to set up a mega fight. Cotto deserves a huge payday.
