brush up on your boxing history bro. those were all fights that happpened over 6-7 years ago with the exception of vargas, who was way past his prime and wrecked by trinidad years earlier.

since then, he has been chasing jr welters (fm jr. hatton) and has now moved on to forbes who is a blown up lightweight.

not to mention, oscar lost ALL of those fights with the exception of quartey. and his win theer was subject to suspect judging at best.

You said he hasn't fought Winky, Forrest or Spinks because their his size. He does fight fighters his size if the money is right.

are you saying a fight with winky, spinks or forrest would bring less than a fight with forbes? what belt does forbes have? don't forrest and spinks have the other jr middle belts?

It's a different situation, he's fighting Forbes as a tuneup for the fight with Mayweather, fighting Winky, Spinks or Forrest won't prepare him for Mayweather, that's where the money is.

i respect your opinion but think that is complete BS.

a fight with spinks is the closest thing to oscar can find to fighting mayweather. spinks has an very similar style, (speed, movement and punching power) to floyd. spinks is closer in size to floyd and oscar, forbes is a blow up lightweight. spinks has one of the other jr. middle belts so oscar could unify his title. spinks would bring WAY more money than forbes and if oscar did win, would make the fight with floyd sell much bigger numbers.

Do you understand the concept of a tuneup fight? It's a fight where there is minimal risk and maximum exposure to an audience, he even admitted it's a tune up fight. Spinks is not a tuneup fight, hence my saying it's a different situation.

i do, but i think the tune up still should have at least an ounce of credability to it.

forbes is a "past his prime, blown up lightweight" who didn't even have enough left to win the contender.

why not have a tuen up with a hack contender his size like gomez or mora? or how about ouma, roman or phillips?

this is looks like oscar again milking the public for money with a BS fight.

It's on free HBO not on PPV. None of those guys have similar styles to Mayweather, Spinks is too risky to be called a tune up fight.
