are you really questioning his resume? him fighting people such as Hopkins shows he never ducked anyone. I can say he beat Trinidad and is 1-1 against Mosely, now his record dont say that, but its obvious to most, i mean just look at all the world champions he fought, Oscar never took the "easy fight" is all i was saying.
He wants a tune up to get ready for Floyd?

I like the guy but i don't know what he's playing at with this. I think if he wants to fight him then he should, but he's scared he's just seen him KO Ricky Hatton and we all know Ricky beat Oscar. So he is bideing his time because he's scared of Floyd!Comment

i respect your opinion but disagree. oscar took a dive against hopkins on a BULL**** body punch.are you really questioning his resume? him fighting people such as Hopkins shows he never ducked anyone. oscar has taken NUMEROUS easy fights with fighters way past their prime or fighters he knew had very little chance of doing any damage, (chavez, campas, gatti, vargas, whitaker, mayorga, coley, camacho are just a few).
and, like i asked, you can't name a hall of fame fighter, in their prime oscar has a victory against. he has lost EVERYONE of his major fights. and has lost several fights to so so fighters also.
the same thing can be said about gatti. the fact that you are willing to go out and get your ass kicked for MILLIONS doesn't make you a great fighter.
you have to beat HOF fighters to get that statusComment

The thing is he fought EVERYBODY, who did he not fight when he was at the top, i guess you can maybe say Winky Wright and thats just one guy. Hes lost fights to "SO SO fighters"? since when did Hopkins, Trinidad, Mosely, or Mayweather become so so?i respect your opinion but disagree. oscar took a dive against hopkins on a BULL**** body punch.

again i disagree. he hasn't fought winky, forrest, spinks, alcine, dzinziruk, or ouma for starters and that is just the jr middles.
for middles, pavlik, taylor, abarham and sturm would be nice to see.
and all would be TREMENDOUS paydays.Comment

so you want him to fight every month for the next couple years or what? I think you just dont like the guy, which is fine but just admit that then ya know. Youre holding him up there like he does nothing right, can you name me a fighter whos fought more great names than Oscar? Besides Trinidad, no one even comes close.Comment

Agreed. It's going to be very hard to find anybody that has a better resume than DLH's in the last 10+ years.so you want him to fight every month for the next couple years or what? i think you are both wrong...
try mosley, spinks, winky, judah, mayorga, vargas and you already conceded trinidad plus taylor and hopkins.
i'll tell anyone, i can't stand oscar because he is a coward. and an embarassment to mexican fighters...Comment

Jesus man, thats just ridiculous! No one can ever argue that De La Hoya is a coward without sounding like a complete douche! He fought every big name in every division he was ever in. The one thing you can't say about him is that he is a coward.
So starting with Jorge Paez, John John Molina, Rafael Ruelas, Genaro Hernandez, Jesse James Leija, Julio Cesar Chavez, Miguel Angel Gonzalez, Pernell Whitaker, Hector Camacho, Ike Quartey, Oba Carr, Felix Trinidad, Shane Mosley, Arturo Gatti, Javier Castillejo, Felix Sturm, Fernando Vargas, Luis Campas, Bernard Hopkins, Ricardo Mayorga and ending with Floyd Mayweather you are going to seriously argue that this is not only not a good resume but not the best resume of anyone in boxing at the moment. You actually can't! To argue is to look at the facts and dismiss them as BS. No different than looking at the sky and arguing that it's purple, not blue.
This is simple. Bring up someone else who has a better one...but you have to actually name the fighters they fought.
Don't even bother actually, because you can't.Comment
