what YOU think of me means **** to me, all due respect but I don't care, take me seriously or not but I had good reason to pick Trinidad, if I recall properly you were also one of the many on here talking about how the fight made no sense and was pointless, if you did and my memory served me correct then going by your logic how can I take you seriously?Man, you had 50 k out on Tito?
How can I take you seriously when you betting on a natural welter, who hasn't fought in almost two years, facing RJJ at 170? What, you thought that some mystical left hook would land on RJJ, and he would just go down? Probably...
The fight that I want to see, and everybody wants to see, is Cotto vs PBF. But it just isn't in the cards as of now. It sucks. But when Cotto vs PBF DOES happen, don't make the mistake on putting your points on Cotto. Because PBF is going to do what he ALWAYS does. Win...
all the kid **** aside you can name people he fought 10 years ago to people he fought 2 years ago, the old is the old and the new is the new, you can name Hernandez and Corrales if you talking about pound for pound back in those days but he's claiming a spot right now in terms of #1 in the world ranks that he doesn't deserve, I didn't think so up until he signed to face De La Hoya again and not Cotto..
thing is you might think I'm hating, you might say o this ***** is crazy but I'm not, you trying to use the Jones-Trinidad fight to discredit the validity and truth of my post so who's the crazy one? truth be told I think Floyd Mayweather Jr is the most gifted Boxer in Boxing today in terms of skills but he hasn't fought the best, he's fighting De La Hoya again after, and this is the dead honest truth, after not even having to fight him in the 1st place and it was for money.. granted.. he then fights Ricky Hatton who is a Junior Welterweight champion and who's only outing at Welterweight was SOOO bad that he had to go back down, almost not even making it to Mayweather.. pushing it, but granted.. now putting De La Hoya and Hatton behind him instead of stepping to a hungry champion he back peddles and picks up his own sloppy seconds..
he's making De La Hoya greater by even allowing him a rematch, he's showing the pull that Oscar has and is really just playing a part while Oscar reaps the glory because it gives Oscar the chance to be the heroic good guy while Floyd is the bad guy, win lose or draw Oscar looks better and he rather fight that ******* again than Miguel Cotto? citing that the reason is due to money? fine, if thats how you feel then feel that way, don't fight the best in your weight class and glorify the sport but don't sit there and hold claim to a title someone else can make better use of, it's a tainted reign because only 2 of his last 5 were legit and established Welterweights and 1 of them was out classed skill wise (Baldomir), the other one (Judah) was outclassed mentally, all others were fighters who I'll be real with you didn't deserve to be in the ring with Floyd in the 1st place and now he wants to back peddle and fight Oscar again? and I'm supposed to be cool with that after years and years of supporting him for being the best and fighting the best? nah dogz I ain't..
I can't hold on to wins from 10 years ago to uplift his name today, I didn't do it with Trinidad who is my all-time favorite since back in his younger, Mahenge Zulu and Maurice Blocker days and I wont do it with Floyd, and just FYI I didn't pick Trinidad because of him being my favorite I picked him because I TRULY thought he would win, he got the better of the first half he just balled up at the end but as we all saw when early on he let his hands go he cruised, no biased there. you probably wont make it far enough into this post to read this but I like Floyd, I always respected hi choices even though some were far fetched at times but I can't condone this back peddling, maybe they will fight and my feelings will change but by then due to the OTHER talent at Welterweight we will have a unification bout set up, maybe Cotto, Williams, Margarito or Cintron but these guys hold no bull****, they fight the best win lose or draw, it just pisses me off Oscar gets this chance that Cotto who deserves it doesn't..Comment

I was just yanking your chain a little with your bets on the RJJ vs. Tito bout.
But is it Floyds fault that he outclassed Baldo and Judah? When they signed on the dotted line, fought, and lost to the better man. What PBF is supposed to care that Baldo was outclassed skillwise, and Judah was outclassed
"mentally"? Your not making any sense with that argument.
I want to see Cotto vs. Mayweather, very badly matter of fact.Comment

I never said it was his fault I'm just pointing his only REAL Welterweight competition in his last 5 in terms of actual Welters and not guys moving up or coming down, both didn't compare to Floyd and even still Judah got at him, even put him down but didn't get the point, if he didn't **** **** up who knows he could have won.. I'm just saying why fight Oscar is what I'm asking, a win over Oscar in September ain't going to solidify him as pound for pound #1 for 2008 especially if thats the only fight he plans on taking this year..Damn, dude ain't trying to read all that ****. point blank it ain't his fault that Judah and Baldomir were not on his level but it IS his fault that 3 of his last 5 didn't really deserve to be in there with him whom are Mitchell (even though, much like Tito-Jones, I always wanted to see them throw down) Oscar (far out of his sights, that fight wasn't for ranks or nothing it was purely $$$) and Hatton (c'mon man) and now Oscar again? him being better than 2 or his last 5 who you can consider competition? not his fault, him fighting 3 guys in 5 who didn't have no place in front of him and soon to be 4 of his last 5, that IS his fault.. how can you argue that?
Edit: and I STILL got the utmost respect for Floyd I'm just disappointed in this choice but make no mistake I STILL feel the only guy out there ****ing with him is Cotto, he wont have an easy time with Shane, Tony and Paul but he will beat them, I would put gwap on that but Cotto? nah yo.. still Floyd is one of my favorites and he will beat Oscar again, I just don't see the need, **** it Floyd make the money but then fight the real threat, AT LEAST Oscar is coming down to Floyd's town and doing things more to his discretion because that ****er acted like the star of his own show on the 1st fight..Last edited by crillz; 01-27-2008, 01:33 AM.Comment

I NEVER once, in this whole thread, said that PBF has fought the best at Welter. I want to see PBF vs. Cotto as bad as you do bud. But it just doesn't look like its's going to happen this year.
There are to many great matchups at 147 for a DLH vs PBF rematch.
But hey, I can't even lie, I'm going to be buying the fight come September.

and if he outclasses cotto then what...**** he has beaten 5 former ring champions and you still think he hasn't fought the best...gimme a break. how many former and current ring champions has cotto defeated.point blank it ain't his fault that Judah and Baldomir were not on his level but it IS his fault that 3 of his last 5 didn't really deserve to be in there with him whom are Mitchell (Comment
