Junior Jones wasn't really a worse fighter than Barerra. Everybody just thought that his skinny-chinny ass would get rocked. But technically speaking he has good fundamentals and Barerra couldn't get past the jab.

Robinson vs Gatti - Yes alot of people don't think much of Gatti, but he did win a few titles and also won a few big fights, Robinson's career was pretty much the Gatti fights.

Ricardo Lopez vs Rosendo Alvarez - Alvarez was a very good fighter, but nobody expected him to give such a good account of himself against the Legend from Mexico. Many people believe he should have got the nod the first time they fought.

      Good example with sound reasoning.

Jesse James Leija - old Azumah Nelson
        Ruiz - old man Holyfield
Livingstone Bramble - past-prime Ray Mancini
        old Duran - Pazienza
McCallum - Sumbu Kalambay (Kalambay won the first one, McCallum won the rematch with a split decision)

I think Collins beating both Benn and Eubank could count.

If he had stuck to a pure boxing plan like the first fight he would've been 2-0 against Manny (no need for a third match).
            Not to go off topic...

But yeah Morales was already not the same fighter, he was comming off that horrible performance against Zaheer Raheem. I don't think he had enough left in the second Pac fight, you could already see his legs were going, he wasnt able to move as much. When he tried to rest on the ropes its when Manny was doing all that good work that added up.

I think the Warrior Mentality was what cost him the 3rd fight with Barrera, he wanted to stay close when it was obvious that, his fight was on the outside using his range..

How about "Sweet Pea" who alot of people thought Rivera beat him in both thier fights.

Those all don't count at all. Because of the age things that you pointed out..

Having somebody's number means that you're just the better fighter between the two in a head-to-head match up. The best possible example is Mosley-Forrest or Forrest-Mayorga.

Mancini was 23-24 for those fights against Bramble..I dont think he was past his best, but maybe he was...Tyson started to decline at that same age.
