I think De La Hoya was just a better fighter, especially at that weight, no time in Chavez career would he beat Oscar. Oscar was bigger, faster, and stronger. At the weight they fought the better fighter won.

            Randall vs Chavez

Baby Arizmendi beat Henry Armstong the first two matches they had.

Robinson vs Gatti - Yes alot of people don't think much of Gatti, but he did win a few titles and also won a few big fights, Robinson's career was pretty much the Gatti fights.

Ricardo Lopez vs Rosendo Alvarez - Alvarez was a very good fighter, but nobody expected him to give such a good account of himself against the Legend from Mexico. Many people believe he should have got the nod the first time they fought.

I'm going to throw Pacquiao/Morales out there. Despite being at the tail end of his career Morales was still a superior boxer to Pacquiao at that point in time. It was around the time when Manny was strictly a lefty and a headhunter.

Phillips-Tszyu it counts as two wins because Kos never wanted a rematch with him.

Morales was schooling Pac again for the first 5-6 rounds of the second fight, then Manny started going to the body and that was pretty much the begining of the end.

Even though most of Erik was a spent force at the time, he showed boxing genius in the first fight, and glimpses of greatness in the second. For some reason (Perhaps it was that warrior mentality) he couldn't stay on the outside and felt he needed to engage Pacquiao, and that's what stopped him.

If he had stuck to a pure boxing plan like the first fight he would've been 2-0 against Manny (no need for a third match).
