i think cotto has a decent chance against mayweather, mayweather just does not throw enough punchs to win rounds convincingly (oscar de la hoya etc etc)

cotto will work and has a underrated skills i.e. hand speed head movement stamina etc etc

it is a fight everyone would love to see and for me mayweather really should be interested in it as the guy wants the legacy so he needs to be beating the real warriors out there!!!!!

I don't think he's scared of Cotto or losing to him but Floyd cares more about his bank acount than legacy. He will take the most money for the least risk. I think the reason for it is that he believes he is the greatest boxer of all time which is clearly not something he has proven. He doesn't understand that he needs to beat the Mosley's, Cotto's, even the middleweights like Pavlik to even be within earshot of the conversations. Its not so much nerves just ego
