Well if it's not clear that Hopkins is closer to his prime than Jones, then I can't help you. Bernard is still a top 5 p4p guy. Jones isn't even top 50. 3 of Hopkins' best wins have come after age 39, DLH, Tarver, Wright. The two Taylor losses were highly disputed, especially the first. Hopkins is the Ring champ and #1 rated LHW.

Why? He has plenty left to give to the sport. He isn't a shot fighter and he needs a lot more pay days before he will call it a day.

Tell me how a fight with Bhop is a starter but a fight with Roy ****ing Jones isn't. If Roy impresses against Tito (not fight wise I mean if he shows speed and reflexes that could compete with the best) than Joe can't spout that bull****.

Bore nard hasn't been brutally KO'ed or totally dominated in his losses has he?
And Bore hard isn't fighting Nobodies like Prince Jaffe Joffe of zamunda and Hanshaw who landed more time on Roy than any other fighter in Roy jones History.
Bore hard has shown he can still compete at a high level.
Jones HAS NOT and if he beats Tito he still PROVES nothing.

Calzahge is another Hatton, the moment Joe faces a fighter that can walk through those slap shots and force out a right hand, Joe is in for somthin completely new.

I think Hopkins can do it, but will it happen? Hopkins is old, Joe is relishing in his prime, odds are against Hopkins. But at the same time Nard can definantly pull it off...

Roy Jones vs Glen Johnson II is the match that should be made. Hopkins vs Jones II is a possibility, Joe vs Roy would be disgraceful.

Super-middleweight champ Calzaghe steps up to light-heavy when he meets Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas in April.

But his trainer dad Enzo reckons any fight against Jones, who faces Felix Trinidad at New York’s Madison Square Garden tonight in a light-heavy bout, is a non-starter.

One-time great Trinidad, 35, has lost two of his last four bouts. Jones, 39, has been battered in three of his last five.

Calzaghe senior said: “The fight between Jones and Trinidad might have happened years ago when both were in their prime.

“They have both been magnificent servants of the sport, Jones a four division champ and ‘Tito’ a three division champ.

“While now they are finally matched up, the big question is whether they are washed up.

“As for Jones fighting Joe, I can’t see that happening. With Joe at the top, all these people are hovering around him like moths around a flame.

“Unless Joe takes a very, very big step backwards, him and Jones is a non-starter.”

Calzaghe added: “Jones is my favourite to take care of Trinidad who does not belong in the light-heavyweights after moving up from the welters.”

They just dont want to deal with that handspeed.. couple chumps.. If Enzo and Joe think they can win that fight easily there crazy.. But its obvious there making valid excuses to not make the fight happen..
