I'm taking Mayweather vs. De La Hoya off, because everyone who is voting for it is not giving the response that I am asking for...

Under that context I vote for Calzaghe-Kessler just barely over Mayweather-Hatton.

Calzaghe vs Kessler was the most meaningful fight of 2007, hands down.

LMAO at Calderon vs Cazares being included in the poll...Who the **** cares about a couple of little midgets fighting?

Very true, those divisions don't appeal to me at all.

I'm kind of surprised that no one voted for Hopkins vs. Wright...

In 2007, when P4P fighters met, there was no other fight that had a lower number when you added their ranks together.

              #4 vs. #5. I guess Mayweather-Hatton is tied.

Both had a fighter coming up for the fight, and they were both for The Ring championship.

Well... it was an undefeated champion moving up in weight to win The Ring belt in his second division. I would consider any time the Ring belt changes hand to be pretty meaningful. I wonder if The Ring even has a design for the heavyweight Ring Belt?

It wasn't an exciting fight, and it's not like both fighters were hungry and in their prime..

Where's the Mayweather-De La Hoya option?

The exciting part isn't important when it comes to meaningful fights IMO. Trinidad-De La Hoya was a pretty ****ing meaningful fight, but it wasn't exciting.

I do agree about the young, hungry and in their primes part.

I got rid of it... because I am asking for what fight did the most for a fighter's legacy... it was the biggest event hands down, but if it was the most meaningful fight of 2007, then there would be more than a half-dozen people who were excited to see the rematch.
