Big fight against a top opponent in his prime. It's no wonder that Mayweather lost the first fight in the eyes of any real boxing fan.

    WBC Welterweight Title
    IBO Welterweight Title

    Bum with a title.

2007-05-05 Oscar De La Hoya Las Vegas, USA W SD 12

Inactive, past prime promoter. Gets a little credit for the win due to DLH's size advantage.

    WBC Welterweight Title
Good fighter who had no business fighting at welterweight.

Using plain and basic common sense and adding a little deductive logic in the mix.

I'd say that resume lacks a lot of names which should have been there.

I think his pre welterweight years are adequate, but to be considered top 10 and such he would have needed to keep up that pace and competition level. He'll be considered a top 10 in potential. Sugar might one day say he is the biggest under achiever in the top 50

          He is an ATG talent......

He does not have the resume of an ATG... Arguably the best Boxer ever...
But only top 50 in terms of accomplishments.. And please dont give me the 6 belts in 5 divisions.. That used to matter when there was ONE or TWO Sanctioning Bodies and 8 weight classes today it does not compare

No, he needs Cotto and I think he will find that out soon.
