    Chavez-Taylor I.....

Chavez was considered by most people at the time to be the best fighter in the sport.....with Meldrick Taylor falling into the top 3 on many's list.
They were perfectly matched. Both near or in their primes. The fight they put on is one of the single greatest fights ever fought. It had EVERYTHING that makes boxing so great. Classic, artistic, & brutal exchanges. The speed of Taylor, & the relentlessness of Chavez.
The exciting &controversial ending may have marred the fight for some, but to me it was just another aspect of boxing being put on display.

            NOT!!!!

the term 'skill' is just too ambiguous.

While it may not have been the "most skilled fight ever", I was pretty amazed with the power and accuracy of the punches thrown in BARRERA v MARQUEZ.

It was one of those fights were if you make a mistake your on your ass and both fought with an unbelivable level of focus and precision.

Jersey Joe vs Ezzard Charles III

Both were looking to counter punch and cautiously waited for the other fighter to make a mistake.

The first and final mistake was made in the seventh round by Charles as he throws a jab while Walcott nonchalantly walks forward with his hands down to his waist.
Walcott dodges the jab and throws a devastating left hook that knocks Charles senseless. The world heavyweight title changed hands with one punch.

Yeah, I don't think this fight is the most skilled or anything but this fight shows how a single mistake can end a fight in boxing.
