    Most "skilled" fight ever

Not to say two technicians fighting each other. Mostly this is a question of the fight that had the two best fighters fighting one another (or as close as you can get to it).

Prime should be taken into consideration when choosing. Otherwise it would obviously be Sugar Ray Robinson beating up an ancient, broke Henry Armstrong.

Someone once said that the #2 and #3 welterweights of all time faced one another in Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Thomas Hearns.

Another incredible matchup would be Wilfredo Gomez (undefeated best ever at 122) against Carlos Zarate (53-0 at 118, considered one of the best, if not THE best at 118 all time).

    What does everyone think?

    McCallum-Toney was a boxing 101.

Nunn was the most talented fighter of his era, incredibly smooth and flowing.

There are probably plenty of others, but Donald Curry and Marlon Starling fighting each other in their primes was a good one (they actually fought twice).

Now Nunn vs Roy would have, without a doubt, been one of the most skilled fights of all time.

The Jones-Hopkins fight didn't show a great deal of skill. That was a poor fight.

                  Toney was weight-starved...

Jones wasn't the most skilled of fighters, he just had unreal reflexes and speed.

Hopkins was way green. He fought as a boxer-puncher, not a defensive... whatever the **** you call his current style.

Toney also was quite sluggish. Jones would have beaten him anyway, but that really was the beginning of the end of the best of James Toney. He lost to Montell Griffin in his next fight.
