A very underrated fight. I was thinking about that when I saw this topic.

              hm....tough question.

Mayweather - Castillo 1 was fought at an extremely high level. Hearns - Leonard was fought at an extremely high level. Extremely. The subtle things that both fighters did that night was just nuts.

              Hm...what else??

                Davey Moore - Duran also.

Sanchez - Gomez for the couple rounds it lasted also. Man that was a good fight.

                Bowe - holyfield 1.

There was a Watson fight that was incredible from a technical point of view. I cant remember who the other fighter was though.

                      Chavez-Taylor I.....

Chavez was considered by most people at the time to be the best fighter in the sport.....with Meldrick Taylor falling into the top 3 on many's list.
They were perfectly matched. Both near or in their primes. The fight they put on is one of the single greatest fights ever fought. It had EVERYTHING that makes boxing so great. Classic, artistic, & brutal exchanges. The speed of Taylor, & the relentlessness of Chavez.
The exciting &controversial ending may have marred the fight for some, but to me it was just another aspect of boxing being put on display.
