Does being "street" in boxing matter anymore?

    boxing will usually be dominated by more people who grew up poor, but it doesn't mean all of them will grow up poor.

    some of the "street" guys of the past were protected, like rocky graziano.

        I wasn't talking about toughness from a standpoint of taking alot of flush shots to the chin, stuff like that. I'm talking about toughness, like a brawling nature. Mano on mano. **** like that. Not this *****footing around the ring like some of these guys do.

          Any fight professional or otherwise is much based on the mental state. If you are scared. IT will have a huge affect on you.

            i fink being street does help
            if ur from the roads u have a better standing in a fight than a rich well looked after person because u have the experience but talent also plays a part. u can be as hood u want but if u cant fight ur ****ed

              Totally agree, i think its dying out in boxing now, the more skilled the boxer, the more he will get recognized IMO
