Floyd/Oscar II. Will this decision hurt Floyd's legacy?

From a fan's point of view, this fight makes absolutely zero sense. Floyd right now is at the top of the boxing world, yet he wants to fight an even OLDER and more INACTIVE Oscar than he faced the first time. What would another win against Oscar prove for Floyd? Yes it would make them both richer than what they already are, but what does that do for us fans? Floyd sits atop a division (WW) where there are plenty of fighters who pose an imminent threat to Floyd. This is a division where 90% of the boxing world would like to see Floyd try and dominate. Instead he'd rather fight Oscar. So my question is....At a time like this, where the WW division is packed with talent, would it hurt Floyd's legacy for him to face an aging promoter/part-time fighter, instead of trying to prove that he is the best at the division he currently holds the titles to?

No way. Are you ******ed? It is so obvious that Mayweather is going to take a dive in this fight... setting up a TREMENDOUS third fight... and, in a way, legitimize all three fights. Great fighters have great trilogies... This will give Floyd his... Mayweather takes a dive in five... Third Fight coming...

I would no doubt it for a sec. Mayweather Sr. correographed the first fight and will win "an oscar" for directing the trilogy. **** Star Wars and George Lucas, we got Mayweather Sr.!!!! I just wish some paparazzi cought them rehearsing the fight and exposed their sorry asses.

It'll only affect it if he loses, winning won't help his legacy because he already beat DLH convincingly. Beating the top guys at 147 is what he needs to do to cement his legacy.

This will definitely improve his legacy as a ducker and dodger who is afraid to fight the best. When was the last time he fought an elite fighter in his prime?
