It's not going to be an easy fight for either guy. They're both old but both still performing reasonably close to their primes so age won't be that big a factor for either of them. Hopkins is probably the greatest ever fighter over forty years of age and Calzaghe is in his mid thirties which is the classic period of when a fighter suddenly gets old overnight. Both train very hard and keep in shape between fights so hopefully that won't even come into it for this. No one is owning anyone in this fight.

It still hasn't even been signed people, so stop the bitching and lets just pray that it gets that far!
Hopkin's doesn't even approach the greatness level of Archie Moore.

If he takes a fight against RJJ, TELL ME he's not protecting.
he's making money which is what it's about this stage. Jones/Calz would sell out Wembley if Roy Jones destroys Tito.

Remember that time when Taylor turned down $10,000,000 to fight Calzaghe, and instead went and fought the dangerous Cory Spinks?

Cal-Z will sell out Wembley against ANYONE. THey sold out the Manfredo fight for christsakes. I know it's about money. But when I look back at Cal-Z's career his competition will have a black eye.

Yeah... I do think he's afraid. What evidence do you have to the contrary?

                35,000 turned out for that.

Wembley holds well over 90,000. Factor in that the pound worth nearly two dollars, and pay per views both in the US and UK. Then its Calz and Jones laughin all the way to the bank. Everyone knows who RJJ is, Taylor or Pavlik..not so much.

it wasn't really a showcase those idiots payed through the arse to get him over there. I think that **** earned him more than the Lacy fight.

i think joe will force a late stoppage on accumulation of punches

Stopping Bernard Hopkins???? Those pitty patty punches that he threw against Manfredo won't work against Hopkins. Please Hopkins even at this stage will never get TKo'd by a fighter like Calzaghe. Only if he moved up to light-heavy and got caught agaiinst a monsterous puncher.
