Cintron wants Cotto!

The only reason i think ths fight wont happen is that Cotto is looking for a showdown vs Margarito. If he beats Cintron he will have to fight Clottey. If he fights Gomez he will fight Margarito.

I would pick Cotto, Cintron has NO relevant wins. But it seems Manny is building a good fighter out of him. Let's see, I am curious about Cintron's future career.

Cintron would be a great fight but lets look at this more practically. Cintron wont be able to fight till April (probably mid late April). Cotto wishes to fight in March so that he can fight again in June for the Puerto Rican day Parade weekend.

An April fight wont give him enough time. Also a pre parade Madison Sq Garden matchup with a Mexican is something that Arum and Cotto's team have wanted to do since last year when Margarito pulled out to fight Williams.

This would be a very good fight while it lasted. I know Cintron didn't perform to well last time out, but I think he will bring his A game if he faced Cotto. I think Cintron would have his moments do to his power but in the end I see Cotto winning by stoppage.

I rather watch Cotto vs Cintron than Cotto vs DLH or Alfonso Gomez. If Cotto wins this fight he could then face Margarito or Williams.

That mentality is exactly whats wrong with boxing. If cotto should lose to citron and williams or hatton he shoulnt qualify to fight mayweather anyway. people forget mayweather, much like oscar is a businessman first, fighter next and will only fight fighters they bring that $. if cotto really want a shot at mayweather he should fight hatton, williams or citron, one of those AND maybe a lighter fight with a bum before the fight with mayweather which is not sure.

Fighting Gomez is the same if not better exposure than Williams, Margarito or Cintron b/c them three are better but only known in the "boxing world" and not the "sports world." With that being said Cotto is a being a business man first and a boxer second for the first time in his career. What would a win against Williams, Cintron or Margarito get him=NOTHING, noone outside of boxing knows these people but Gomez is known maybe from a ****** reality show but he is known!!!! He's been advertised on ESPN and NBC for years so alot more exposure than any of them other guys have had, they fight on PPV undercards and on HBO and not everyone has availability to these channels!!!!

Cotto is coming off two big fights. He has the right to take an easy fight and you're right about the exposure he'll receive if he fights Gomez.
