    Cintron wants Cotto!

its on the "site that talks boxing"

Cintron is ready to fight Cotto this April. He says why fight a contender(Gomez) when you can fight a champion (him).

I would rather see this. But man another tough fight for Cotto, he is going to need a break sooner or later. If he wins he will likely fight Clottey or Margarito.

This would also be a unification fight between two boricuas, it will be huge! I say they should do it and Cotto end Cintrons hype. But if he decides to fight Gomez first to line up the Margarito fight than thats cool too.

If they fight, a lot of questions will be answered about Cotto's chin.

I agree. I think he has already proved his chin isnt "glass" as some claimed, he proved that against guys like Judah and Mosley. But if he gets by Cintrons power he proves he has a good chin.

I honestly think Cintron only has a chance in this fight becase his power. Cotto is better in every other aspect of the game and has a lot of power himself. Cintron just has that killer right hand and that seems to be the punch Cotto is most vulnerable too. Only Cotto usually doesnt get hit in the chin with it he usually gets hit in the top of the head. Cintron will probably break his hand on Cotto's head.

I think if this fight comes together Cotto beats Cintron by TKO.

Cintron doesnt usually land the right hand on guys chins, he lands it on the top of the ear, right where the shoulder cant block when guys throw jabs. it knocks a guys balance right off. i dont know anyone who could continue to stand when this punch lands. ive seen guys take his shots on the chin and be (relatively) ok, but never one of the ear shots. guys always drop.

Cintron would be the biggest and most powerful opponent Cotto has faced. I agree that Cintron's power is his best chance to win but I'd be interested to see what Steward can come up with strategy wise against Cotto.

If Cotto doesn't get caught with a big shot early, I'll go for Cotto by late round TKO.

have you ever seen an elite or even better than decent fighter drop? The only notable guy he fought was Margarito and Margarito crushed him. Cintron got a world title the easy way, by beating Mark Suarez...who is Mark Suarez? Then he beat Walter Matthysse...Matthysse was KOd by Sebastian Lujan proving hes nothing more than a Argentinian club fighter, and Cintron fought a war with Jesse Feliciano who he should have destroyed. Sure Cintron KOs these guys but none of them are close to the elite level that the guys he is calling out are on.

I like Cintron, but I dont think hes improved at all since the Margarito fight. He has just been fighting guys that arent as good as Margarito.

He dropped Teddy Reid, several times, and Elio Ortiz. Both of them were top guys when he did it.

Isn't he fighting Clottey? He needs to stop calling out all these people and worry about whose in front of him. Should he fight Cotto, however, I don't think he posesses the heart that Cotto does and that's where I think he loses the fight. I know Cintron has the power and all and Cotto's chin is questionable, but I've become very skeptical of Cintron since his last fight. I like the guy still, don't get me wrong, but his actions as of late are rubbing me the wrong way I guess and I'm not quite sure what he is doing. When you think about it, his calling off the bout with Williams was the chain effect that lead to all these great match ups that were supposed to take place to fall apart.
