i have a pretty good idea of how bad it is. i have talked with his brother, jason, a light welterweight, about it. i grew up with both him and kerm. it's as bad as they say it is. it's not broken, like they thought it was during the fight (but of course you cant diagnose something without xrays, you can only know what you think it is), but it's pretty messed up.

as i said before, Team Cintron or people close to him will obviously say it was bad. Who cares what his brother said. There were no x-rays? Thats pathetic. The hand must have been fine then. You seem a little less sure about this than the 2+2 statement you made earlier when you attempted to belittle me.

I now believe even more that Cintron faked the whole thing. I hope Cotto takes this fight and shuts Cintrons mouth.

no dude, you missed what i meant. at first (immediately following the fight) they said it was broken, but obviously they didnt know because they hadnt had it xrayed because they were in the middle of a boxing match. once they got it xrayd after the fight and saw that it wasnt broken, they came out and said it wasnt broken and everyone got all worked up saying it was faked, that they were liars because it wasnt broken. all kerm knew was he landed a punch, heard a crack, felt a lot of pain, so he figured it was broken, which is what he told steward during the fight. turns out it wasnt broken, it was damaged ligament, but how could they have know that right then and there, without xrays?

          ..............

i still think he faked the whole thing. The way he fell to the ground in "pain." You would think it was at least broken. Ive seen boxers desroy their own hands and never go to the ground like that.

ive seen people get tattoos and cry and scream, whereas i have no problem with it. ive seen people give birth like it was nothing, and other women need all sorts of drugs and are in all types of pain. ligament damage, like sprains and bone/ deep tissue bruises, are usually more painful than breaks.

believe me, the injury is not faked, i can assure you of this. he would not take this much time off in the prime of his career. why would he fake it? pwil isnt exactly a dangerous fight for him. margarito and cotto are much more dangerous for him.

Why are you so worried about his chin? Perhaps it is Cintron's chin that will get the biggest test.

we are not talking about tattoos or math or any of this weird stuff you keep bringing up, we are talking about boxng. The way he went down, to me, looked clearly like he was making an act out of it. Why would he fake it? I dunno why dont you ask him? Hes not taking that much time off at all. Williams was even willing to push the fight back to late March-April and Cintron still wasnt interested. He just wants a bigger payday against Cotto. Chances are he will lose to Cotto and Williams.

Im done arguing, we are just going to keep saying the same things over and over.

Lets just hope Cotto-Cintron happens and may the best man win (Cotto).

That mentality is exactly whats wrong with boxing. If cotto should lose to citron and williams or hatton he shoulnt qualify to fight mayweather anyway. people forget mayweather, much like oscar is a businessman first, fighter next and will only fight fighters they bring that $. if cotto really want a shot at mayweather he should fight hatton, williams or citron, one of those AND maybe a lighter fight with a bum before the fight with mayweather which is not sure.

like the article i linked earlier said, team williams was only willing to push the fight back to march when they could only get quintana. had they offered that date at first, cintron's team would have taken it, no question, since they didnt want to screw Pwil's team, but needed cintron to be somewhat healthy. once pwil wouldnt push it back, it bought them time to let the hand heal completely. when pwil came back weeks later with the march date, they decided to stay on the path they were on, letting the hand heal. they went into one fight with a busted up hand, already, and look how that turned out. they didnt want to take that chance again, especially knowing that there was someone else Pwil could face (quintana).

you are completely entitled to your opinion, but i have talked to people close to the situation and reporters that have been talking with both camps. cintron's camp feels bad about what happened. they didnt even want to face feliciano once vargas postponed the original september date to november, but when they tried to line up bigger names (margarito and williams) back in september no one agreed, so they had to go ahead with the feliciano fight.
