well saying he won the heavyweight title dindt mean I was saying he beat the best heavyweight.. he beat a title holder, which was John Ruiz who had the WBA at the time..
so if it makes ya feel better.. (he won the WBA Heavyweight Title)

high majority of boxing analysts were picking Ruiz to win..
Yall gota realize moving up to heavy and beating a legit champ is no easy task..
Ruiz did beat Holyfield for the title..Last edited by robjr; 01-13-2008, 05:06 PM.Comment

you miss the point i did'nt say Roy was'nt a great fighter i believe he was a great fighter ,overated dont mean he was **** just not as good as some people suggest he was if some people on NSB had a grasp of this concept i would 'nt have made this thread simpleI think because of his skillz no matter what he did you wont give him the credit deserved.. the guy was 153 lbs when he made a debut as a pro.. Won titles in 4 weight divisions..
went up 50 lbs from what he started his pro career at to win the heavyweight title..
come on dude..
anyways Im done with thise thread.. cong**** on all the points you got with making a thread...
peace.
there are those after all that think the guy is the GOAT tell me that is not hysteriaComment

I remember Roy getting alot of crap for someone who is supposedly overrated.
I think he earned his spot in boxing history for what he has done.
P.S. Since we are now being judged on spelling by some members....To save you from being chastised, overrated is spelled incorrectly in the forum heading.
