It's De La Hoya who is the real draw here and thats who put Mayweather at this Money Mayweather status!!!! The names look alright on paper but in reality his wins are average at best!!!! So who has he beat that makes him head and shoulders above the rest of the field????

He didn't conquer 140 for starters.
Ricky Hatton was the ring champ at 140.
Floyd made him go to 147.
So he didn't beat the best in that division.
At 147 he beat Baldomir who most certainly IS NOT the best in that division and neither was Judah.
As you well know holding titles doesn't mean **** these days.
You can blow off saying Baldomir was the linear champ all you want.
FACT is he was NOT the best at 147.
He beat Hatton at 147 who was also NOT the Best at 147 but at 140.
His win over Oscar was not beating the BEST in that division either as Winky Wright had that honour.
What we do have is Floyd has won Titles at 140 , 147 & 154.
BUT he certainly has NOT conquered those divisions.
And until he beats the Contenders at 147 he will leave question marks.
Simply saying Floyd would beat Cotto & Williams or even Margerito is not good enough.
      We need PROOF.

Don't forget that Floyd offered to fight Hatton when Floyd was at 140 but Hatton himself said he wasn't ready for Floyd. No excuses at 147, he beat the man he had to beat to be considered the best at 147 and that's exactly what he did. How was Winky the best at JM when Floyd beat Oscar when Wright was already campaigning at MW?

So in your heart you think Floyd beat the best at 147 when he beat Baldomir?
And do you think Oscar was the best at 154 ?
Just realise as well I am NOT knocking Floyd as a fighter I think he is GREAT.
              BUT he has UNFINISHED business.
              You know that surely?

nope, i happen to agree with you... but its still an opinion, which is my point... stop stating things as fact.. when a statement like baldomir wasnt the best at 147, is truly an opinion... even if the majority of people think he wasnt... thats still a majority opinion

He needs to meet a young hungry contender like Cotto & williams at their own best weight.
They are both true DANGEROUS Welterweights and deserve their shot.
Please tell me who Floyd has beaten at 147 who you can honestly say were at their Ideal weight or even the best in the division?
You know where I am coming from.
Hatton was a game ****er but it is obvious he is better suited to 140.
Judah is renowned for bottling it and is inconsistent.
Baldomir was lucky to meet Judah on an off night.
If Floyd can deal with Cotto & Williams then he leaves no questions IMO.
