That fight was a great example of a gameplan gone wrong. He was looking for the rights and what he got was a left hook and a few more flush on the face.

Austin got to taste Wladimir's power and didn't like it.

Ray Austin had no business in the ring with Wlad. I'm not even sure if Sultan does because who has he beaten? Briggs and Holyfield by decision. Lets see what he is made of.

the funniest part was austin talking about how wlad beat up a little guy in byrd and that he's a big heavyweight at 6'6 240 lbs unlike byrd. as it turns out byrd lasted a hell of a lot longer,,lol. I dont think austin will ever trash talk again in his life

It was a magnificent display of speed, balance, and power. He threw five and landed four hooks in two seconds. He looked a 250lb prime Roy Jones in that. No other HW ever could do that.

But yeah Austin is pretty mediocre so . . .

Btw. I don't think Austin had watched much Wlad over the years. He killed Brock and Byrd with rights, but historically his left hook was the one punch that was class since the begginning of his career.

ray austin knocked out one of the trainers at my gym

i asked my trainer about it once..

i said "so block fought ray austin huh?"

and he goes "yeah if you wanna call it a fight." then sort of giggled

I'd a been more impressed if Wladimir knocked him out brutally with a big right hand in the first round, which he could've done EASILY.

See, the thing is about that left hook was how quickly he landed it. It was BAM out of nowhere and Austin is down.

I see what you mean, but he took his time and jumped on the first mistake.

i think wlad intentionally fought one handed to show how insulted he was to be forced into such a ludicrous fight, had the fight gone 3 more round i still dont think he would have unleashed the right.

bascially his way of saying "if you make me fight chumps, im gonna beat em like a dad beating his kid"

Here's a vid of Austin vs Ibragimov. People think Wlad beating Ibragimov would somehow make him a great heavyweight. Well it's one step forwards but Sultan isn't that good.
