Who had the best jab? The accuracy of Holmes? The speed of Ali? The power of Liston? Or a combination of all by Klitschko?

Umm. None of the above. Larry Holmes had the best jab.

    Umm. Holmes is listed above.

How about I'll say Ali and Holmes had crappy jabs because of the Leon Spinks & Mike Tyson fights. Now that's fair.
Mate i believe in what i see ,and what i see is a guy who was incapable of landing a Jab on Muhammad Ali & a fighter who proceeded to pull his arm out of the socket through jabbbing thin air ,he was uncapable of shuffling foward & throwing his jab to good effect at the same time

so basically he had a great jab if u stood infront of him is all i can interpret

You believe in what you see now go watch Leon Spinks/Holmes/Berbick vs Muhammad Ali and Tyson/McCall/Butterbean vs Larry Holmes.

I think Lewis was the better fighter, but Wlad's jab is more consistent and devastating. He should use it even more than he does. Everything else would come easier to him if he did.

                Huh?

                I'm surprised.
Thought this was an obvious question.
Larry Holmes's jab was in a different league than all the rest.
                Super fast, accurate and punishing.
Really its all he had and a 1/2 decent right hand and he was the champ for a long time (48-0) so really thats all the proof you need IMO.

A guy I know fought Holmes and said the jab was like a 2x4 being jammed straight out at you and hitting you in the face end on.

I don't think anyone else's even comes close.

SO who has the NEXT best jab??

Here's one to add.. BIG George Foreman

Heaviest and hardest jab in the business and deceptively fast and quick.
LOTS of weight behind it that set you up for the big punches. It would punch through most gloves set up to block it.

Lewis's jab LOOKED excellent because he was a good technical fighter (like Klitschko) It looked great against Golota because Golota fought such a poor technical fight, laying off to his fight to get away from the Lewis jab and setting the side of his melon up for a right hand

Ali's jab was a flick, a reaching punch thrown off his left toe as he circled to the left. Don't forget Ali was a big HW at the time and weighed 216 1/2 against Foreman who was only 220 at the time.

                Thats my thoughts.

Foreman's jab was underrated but partly because he forgot to use it in some of his biggest fights (mainly the Ali fight). But it was there and it always gave trouble to his opponents when he decided to use it.

Foreman controlled Frazier with the jab and knocked Lyle out when he jabbed him into the corner.

Larry Holmes and Lennox Lewis. Ali and Liston cannot compare to those 2. Ali had a great jab but it was more of a flickering stinging piston not a jab as heavy as Larry and Lennox's.

Sonny Liston without a doubt had the 'Hardest' jab in Heavyweight history. Ali had the quickest without any doubt!
