Mayorga was never that good. And now he's old. The win for Forrest couldn't be much easier at this point.

No mayorga was never that good, but neither was forrest. Styles make fights and mayorga has got his style down, just like Forrest had mosely. As of right now a win for forrest against mayorga will definitely not be easy, u must not have seen the varga fight. Mayorga is in good shape and looked more like a boxer, not to mention he has more heart than anybody hes readdy to go to war

you make some valid points. but forrest has better boxing skills now. forrest good side to side movements and will be able to keep mayorga at the end of his punches imo.
forrest will be a step and a half up from vargas for mayorga.

Mayorga has been in there with bigger, stronger, and slicker fighters than Vernon so its not like Vernon is going to bring something hes never seen before. I honestly dont even think its a step up from Vargas considering Mayorga was dealing with a guy who punches much harder than Vernon, at a higher weight than he shouldve been at, and was still able to go toe to toe with him and knock him down, and also prove he could go twelve rounds.

I can see how Forrest would use the injury cry the frist fight, MAYBE. But He knew that the rematch was the biggest fight of his life. After being KOed do you really think he would even consider another fight at anything less than 100%? This "I was hurt when I fought Mayorga stuff" was never said untill the past few years. I should find a old interview of him saying he was comin in the best shape of his life.

Please don't question the shoulder injury.........lol.

It's well documented that it affected his fight promo and he lost potential millions of dollars because he couldn't even hold up his gym bag:

                After a cortazone shot.

And he never pointed to the shoulder injury until after the rematch with Mayorga...........which he easily won.

Only a moron scores rounds for a Pub fighter (at best) doing the windmill.

Your really going to call a undisputed welterweight champion a Pub fighter at his best? According to your logic Mayorga should have never won a fight in his life.
So you can take a mans championship title away by running backwards, being scared to punch, flailing to the canvas 5 times, and not stoping for one exchange. Being knocked around the ring at will and causing no damage whatsoever. Let me guess Spinks and Vargas beat him too?

By the way Mayorga gives **** all about Forrest. Hes the one still bitter after all these years, crying about it. Mayorga already won the 1st round, he is still in his head. Forrest is going "kill" Mayorga. LOL

I think he beats Mayorga if he is completly healthy. Mayorga just ran into a fighter with a very bad shoulder who shouldn't have been fighting at the time.

The same shoulder he beat 40 other guys with. Just ran into a windmill right hand to the face. Aviod that he should be okay.
