Forrest ran for 12 rounds. I dont get the hang up here. I can understand if this was before the frist time they fought. They have already squared up TWICE. Forrest tryed to fight and got KTFO. Forrest try to use his boxing skills that he beat Mosley with and lost on the cards. Mayorga won TWICE

If you're a Mayorga fan you should want to see this happen because he will get a belt and that means he will get even bigger paydays and fights.

If he unifies the LMW titles by beating Forrest&Spinks he could actually get a fight against someone like Mayweather or Cotto.

As a Mayorga fan, it would be okay. BUT he already beat him twice so with so many other options for both why do it again? Forrest needs Mayorga, Mayorga doesnt need Forrest. He has so many other options, hes a big fight for anyone. Mayorga has had huge fights and big paydays for years now. Its Forrest who has never been on PPV, **** his last fight was a undercard on Showtime. LOL

What other options are there in the light middleweight division.

Cory Spinks? He ran away from Mayorga and barely beat him last time they fought but will not draw near as much as Forrest.
Roman Karmazin? Baldomir? Forrest seems like the best option to me.

If Mayorga plans on fighting as a welterweight he will be drained and the only realistic fight he could get is against Margarito or Williams or someone like Judah.

I don't think middleweight is a possibility for Mayorga because the undisputed champion is Pavlik, a very big middleweight and the other champion's can't draw at all.

Mayorga should take out Forrest and try to call out the welterweight's to try their luck or maybe fight against Spinks to avenge that last loss.

Sounds like you came up with plenty. I want to see him fight Baldomir(good style match up, it would be a slugfest) Mayorga isnt a middleweight and knows it. He just fought there to make huge fights possible b/c thats his style. I heard Carl King say hes working on a Judah-Mayorga fight. At a Jr middle catch weight. He also said Showtime is very interested in making it happen. Also said Cintron is open to talk. Mayorga has no problem making a big fight.

Mayorga - Baldomir would be a good fight but Forrest already beat him. Judah - Mayorga would be even better but I still think he should take out Forrest and end his career, a third loss to Mayorga would stop all the talking.

finally some interesting news! You know theres like zero chance of Oscar getting in the ring with Vernon but we may actually be able to hope to see Winky and Forrest, that is of course if Winky could make it back to 154

Mayorga officially won twice... Hell, that last time I watched it (which was quite a while ago), I scored it for Mayorga. I may score it differently now, because I am always learning new things. Anyways, that decision was anything but clear though. A lot of ringside press row scorers scored it for Forrest. A lot of people on this forum scored it for Forrest.

It isn't as though Mayorga blew him out of the water twice... if he did, there really would be absolutely no reason for a rematch, but the second one was damn close.

I didn't see him run by the way... he boxed and moved, which means landing punches. You can't land punches and run.
