Biggest problem for wlad in a match with Liston though is Liston's reputation would get to wlad imo and he would be very nervous i think he would gas out due to nerves and get KO'd. why put Archie Moore in the list?
i was too lol, I think liston is one of the most underrated heavyweights ever, His jab was insanly good,

I would pick most of these to beat a prime Klitschko, although Johnson, Norton, Holyfield, Lewis, and Moore could be wins for Klitschko.

If you can actually visualize the 5'10 188 lb Marciano facing off against the 6'6 245 lb Klitschko, I think you'd have second thoughts about your pick. It may not be a talent mismatch, but it certainly is a size mismatch.

Most of these hall of famers have never been hit by a Klitschko punch.
Klitschko's strikes puts most of them down.

Marciano was small but it didn't seem to affect him negatively and he certainly punched like a man much larger, for instance, Wlad.

Klitdschko could run the gauntlet. He really can. THis current version of him. Sultan says he sees weaknesses and we'll see in Feb if he is right but there may be no weaknesses now in WK. He is like the perfect machibne jab jab jab, jab hook, BOOM the right. he's just dominating guys making them look like BUMS. Austin looked solid vs. Ibragimov but looked like a drunken bum vs. WK.

I could see Klitsdchko defeating prime Ali. He would control range with the jab, keep Ali out side and pick him apart. Total control. Ali would be forced to take the risks and slug, like Lennox did vs. Vitali. Ali had that x factor but WK has no mental shortcomings. Holmes jab and movement could be interesting challenge for Wlad. So would the all around multi dimensions of Lennox Lewis. I agree, Klitschko could be the greatest HWT ever.

Are you seriously comparing Wlads power to Marcianos?

Umm, you could say the same for Klitschko. Unless you think Corrie Sanders, Ross Puritty and Lamon Brewster hit harder and are more skillful than all of them.

Peter knocked Wlad down too. And DaVarryl freaking Williamson. Let's not get ahead ourselves just yet will we?

I have much respect for Rocky. He was one of the greatest heavyweight champions ever. But there is no doubt that he never faced an opponent even remotely resembling Wladimir Klitschko. If you are talking P4P you can make a good case for Marciano, but straight up it is just a gross mismatch.

You people don't realize that Wlad has hardly lost any rounds in his entire career. If he had the chance, this current Wlad would knock that Corrie Sanders out in a rematch, and surely he'd school Ross like he did the first fight, he just gased.
A well conditioned Wlad is a serious threat to any HW of any era.
