        Liston's reach was 82". He had a great reach for his height. You must have gotten your info from a typo.

                Well look at the highlight video you really think those arms were some of the shortest in HW history? Liston looks like a freak.

                  His Own website confirms the 84" reach.. Wow cant trust what you read.. eh? my bad then...

                  It even goes on to say he had a disporpotionately long reach reach for his height..

                  meanwhile a Book I have says his arms were short.. having Only seen The 2 Ali fights.. I never noticed either way..

                      I once read that Sonny Liston had the greatest reach out of all Heavyweights ever. Either way he was a freak, I mean his fists would be probably as big as mans face...
