Yeah because so many cruisers actually come in at 176.

I just find it a useless division, better nowadays, but once Haye moves up it'll be a boring division again.

It's just a stepping stone to Heavy usually anyway. Maybe there should be a max for Heavyweight like 240 if it means no crusier.

what about height? you're ok with guys 6'1-6'2 regularly fighting guys that are 6'5, 6'6, 6'7 or even now with valuev who is 7'0.

and you are looking at it in a different way than I am. I'm looking for entertainment value which is usually best in a fair fight. the more fair the fight is, the more entertaining it is. and fighters who are closer in height and weight as possible, usually have better fights.

Yeah I guess, but to be honest Crusier doesn't offer that many great fights except for recently.

I don't hear many great historical bouts about it.

thats true. but cruiser will have its day. and don't forget evander holyfield is a natural cruiserweight. probably the greatest cruiser of all-time. and cruiserweight fights are nicer to watch than heavy, cuz everyone's got power, and punches are faster and thrown more often.

oh and also, KO of the year belongs to cruiserweight division(according to me and espn). The Wilson-Nwodo ko. wilson is a great up-n-commer. He is top 10 right now, and will be contending for the title really soon.

Incase you haven't seen it here it is

and I actually think that this would rejuvanate the heavyweight division. cuz what stood out in my mind when I made this thread was all of valuev's fights and the Lewis-Tyson fight. I remember how lewis was just jabbing the whole fight and running everytime tyson would rush him and because lewis would have so much distance, he would get away everytime. It was very boring to watch. Actually one of the most boring fights of all-time in my books. Only the name recognition gave that fight anything.

If a 235 weight limit for heavyweight were to be put in place, this would be a heavyweight vs super heavyweight. watch the video, and see how ridiculous this fight is. or am I wrong?
