and also, I don't think the heavyweight divison would suffer much by doing this. alot of the good heavyweights weigh around 235 anyway. guys like wlad could lose a couple of pounds if he wants to stay a heavyweight or he could stay big and fight guys closer to his size.
Should there be a Super Heavyweight Division?

I actually think the division is suffering because of how much bigger they are getting. It's gotten to the point where having a Heavyweight slugfest is a rarity because of stamina issues. At Cruiserweight they keep the big punching with a much higher work rate. It's what the heavies used to be, 200-220 pounds trim and cut.Comment

Absolutely, but at this point the entire heavyweight division is so void of talent that dividing whatever talent pool there is left in the division would be detrimental to boxing itself. But I agree that there needs to be a Super HWT division beginning at 225 or 230lbs....too bad all the great American boxers (potential) are playing football.Comment

agree, with everything you said. and you can say that about all sports. if everyone played one sport, it would be a totaly different out look in that sport.Absolutely, but at this point the entire heavyweight division is so void of talent that dividing whatever talent pool there is left in the division would be detrimental to boxing itself. No. Boxing doesn't need another weight division. The weight divisions are already crowded as it is and I don't think adding another weight class is the answer.
200 lbs and higher is just ideal for heavyweights. Besides, most HW today weigh in around 220-250+ (unless your name is Shannon Briggs, Nikolai Valuev, Danny Williams, etc.).Comment
