how could anyone pick tyson to win beyond a mere punching chance?

be realistic. sad that fanism takes precedence over critical thinking.

vitali win via TKO round 7 or 8.

      this fight ain't even close.

Vitali is too slow and would get tagged a lot. Tyson in his prime was NOT the same Tyson who fought Buster Douglass. And further more, Vitali did not have an IRON CHIN. It certainly was good...

Yeah, at 23 he was completely washed up right? And at 30, when a 34 year old Holyfield (who had lost 2 of his last 4) owned him, he was just a shadow of his former self, right? In fact any fight where he's not fighting tomato cans or light heavyweights or waaaaaaaaay past it ex champs, he's not in his prime, right?

            great points gavinz.

how about those pics of vitali with tyson. notice a little difference there? just how the hell could tyson even reach vitali's chin.

and vitali didn't actually need to be fast. he could tell when people where going to throw a punch. and what punch they were going to throw. the guy is not this big lumbering idiot that these haters try to make him out to be.

and how many times have we heard about a boxer thinking they can get to vitali, and then expressing their admiriation for how difficult their seemingly easy plan actually is to execute.

i'm sure all of his opponents thought he was slow and easy to get to. and when they left the ring with glossy eyes and swollen heads, they still weren't sure what happened. klitschko is many times better than some seem to perceive. like it or not, he was the most dominating. and this is not because he was just average.

****stars can be washed up at 23, why cannot a fighter?

How about Tennis players, gymnasts, and ice-skaters?

Tyson wasn't "completely" washed up, but somewhat shot mentally, which hurts you physically. You have to be Mentally and Physically fit to fight, Tyson wasn't. If your Mind isn't right, you are ****ed.

If you are showing a difference in personality, the way you present yourself, the way you train, the focus, etc. then you are no longer the same.

It's not like it is an unkown thing, Mike was breaking down even before Spinks, but was kept on track because he still had a job to finish. I uploaded a video before with ??? cannot remember the reporters name, but he said, and this was when Mike was the HW Champion, that in the interview, Mike started to cry and hug him, saying "It's not fun anymore...when Cus and Jimmy were around it was fun, not about money, now it is about money."
              That's a problem.

This is why I always say, look at the entire story...understand what is going in the person's mind, his life.

What about Ray Mancini at 23/24 and retiring…comes back, never wins a match…retires again.

If we are talking the 21 year old Kevin Rooney Tyson you have to go with Tyson to TKO Wlad or Viatli, neither of those guys like it inside, neither of them like it when you come at them where they cant jab you to death and neither of them have shown any ability to hit quick moving targets, which is exactly what tyson was. Tyson would come foward from the get-go and likely make the fight very uncomfortable, i see no reason as to why he wouldnt knock out either of them.

that wouldnt mean anything, tyson at 21 moved from side to side to get close, he fought guys that were bigger than him all the time, from the opening bell on he comes foward and closes the distance.

and vitali didn't actually need to be fast. he could tell when people where going to throw a punch. and what punch they were going to throw. the guy is not this big lumbering idiot that these haters try to make him out to be.
that doesnt matter, tyson is vicious on the inside, once he closes the distance, thats his ass.

this is tyson were talking about, during his prime reign, he did that **** to everyone, not to mention, knowing that you were going to have to fight hard for 12 full rounds and taking on a guy who comes at you like a bull and has KO power in both hands, keeps his head moving and throws combinations like a middleweight, come on man.
