true, but the guy he was fighting wasnt prime, nor was he a top MMA guy ,,and he choked mercer out in like in 60 seconds. no boxer has stopped mercer that quick. old or not.

The guy he was fighting was Kimbo Slice, who is a hardened street fighter.

Mercer couldnt have lasted with that guy in boxing either, he was soooo washed up and old.

Not a good comparison. Its like me saying Tommy morrison knocked out that MMA guy in a few minutes.... not fair at all

this shouldnt even be a debate, bottom line is people come out of college, pick up the sport of MMA and can become succesful, that will not happen in boxing, its not a coincidence.

Yup.

Most of these guys are college wrestlers or NCAA level wrestlers and can dominate or at least do well in MMA.

You have to box since you are ****ing 7 years old to even be a decent pro.

Boxing is a science and a thinking man's sport.

UFC is (for the most part, minus a few fighters) a mug sport.

I hope so, Pierre weighs about thirty more pounds than Floyd, but in a boxing match Floyd still beats him badly. If you watched the countdown to UFC 79, Pierre was training with Joachim Alcine (154 champion) and Alcine, the much smaller guy, was saying "if he can go toe to toe with me, he can go against anybody". I think that shows the skill level difference when the guy 20 pounds smaller is complimenting the bigger guy for being able to go toe to toe. And which is more realistic? i dont know about yall but I've never seen no leg kicks in a street fight ha.

And in a boxing match, Floyd would "tax that ass", to put it in Floyd's words... I brought up weight because in an MMA bout of course the much heavier guy would be able to wrestle a little guy to the floor, that wouldnt be much of an accomplishment.

St. Pierre is a WW. Put boxing and mma aside. If these 2 were to bump heads in the streets, Pierre would **** Floyd. Im a fan of both sports, but to say that Floyd would whoop on St. Pierre is just straight crazy.

Floyd would DEFINETLY woop St. Pierre. That guy is 100% wrestler. People dont wrestle in street fights, they punch. Floyd would knock that fool out cold.

AND, welterweight in MMA is much higher in weight
