    Holyfield
    Barrera
    Morales
    Lewis
    Tyson
    etc

    PROBABLE:

    Pacquiao
    Calzaghe
    Mosley
    Trinidad
    Wright
    etc

    MAYBE:

    Hatton
    Marquez x 2
    Castillo
    Corrales
    Tszyu
    etc

If you took the dozen or so "locks", and added in even half the probables and maybes, that is A LOT of guys. More than we have ever inducted from any previous era.

ARE WE BEING TOO GENEROUS... OR WILL THEY REALLY INDUCT THAT MANY GUYS?
We're not being too generous. Fact is, before the lower divisions had 2-3 guys controlling the division and those guys would get praised and would be thought of as unstoppable. Now, there is so much competition in the lower divisions and so much talent, you got 5-8 fighters which in any other era would get the title, going for the title.

      Great post.....

I think i agree with all your "locks" apart from toney. As for the probables, I think Pacquiao and Calzaghe make the HoF but to be honest that's it. All the other guys have probably still got more to do.

Cool. But that underscores my point. Should THAT MANY guys be going ? Will they?

Seems that they have been inducting WAY fewer living "participants " (boxers) than we've named.

          2006: carbajal, someone else
          2007: duran, lopez, whitaker.

They have been inducting 3-4 per year MAX. And we just named fifteen . Easily. And I don't follow the small divisions that closely. I'm sure there's some superjuniormicroweight that I missed.

Just wondering, why should toney not be HOF?

I guess these things are subjective, but his two losses to Griffin (albeit close) and the drugs controversy kinda soured his legacy a bit.

                    What's your opinion?

How Anyone could possibly think Pac is more deserving of the HOF than Toney i dont know.

Toney was light years ahead of paquiao in terms of boxing talent, and didnt get knocked out by Singsurat either.

Mayweather, Jones JR, Toney are all 1st ballot picks.

Unfortunatlely so is Hopkins, although he made it his mission in life to avoid a roy jones rematch at all costs.... even asking for 50/50 on live tv despite not being the draw and losing to jones already, disgraceful.
