Robinson was a better technical fighter than Roy, Roy was good but not on the same level as Ray, but Roy was obviously more athletic that Robinson. At 160lb i would just favor Robinson but not by much.

P4P Robinson would beat Roy, actually I don't want to pick anyone because it's ****** comparing two different fighters of different era's and weight classes.

      Fringe contenders? wtf?

He has victories over 19 past or present champs, defending titles 19 times. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Against better opposition, Jones performed better. He went years without losing a round. coming from 154 to heavyweight...

Overrated? I dont think hes overrated in the least bit... he didnt lose until he was 35... of course the haters love to use montel griffin I as a LOSS..

It's actually a tougher fight to pick than I initially thought it would be.

Jones has a few things going for him, his natural size advantage, he's fast and very awkward.

At the end of the day, I think Robinson would pull it out but it'd be a close fight because Robinson wasn't at his best at 160 as mentioned before.

I consider myself a Roy Jones fan, as I'm sure you do. I believe he could have gone down as one of if not the greatest of all time, but for some reason he was afraid to take the big fights. There is no denying it, even now he's doing the same thing by fighting a natural welterweight at light heavy. How can you (and, apparently, 30 others) believe that he made the most of his career. And how the hell can you even compare him to Robinson, a true warrior that defended his title against all comers all over the world!?

Jones has a sensibly larger build than Robinson (Robinson was making 47 on fight night at age 29, jones was coming in the ring close to 180 at that age...), at 160 he would have a 10lbs advantage on fight night (or he wouldnt be able to make 160). Robinson's hope is that 160 Jones is really green. Otherwise Jones takes it.

Pound 4 Pound Robinson would be just too much for Jones.

were not comparing resumes on this thread? which is apparently what your doing... were comparing who would win prime for prime... most likely at MW... which was neither of their best weights... its a reasonable argument.. and your argument is on a different topic...
