Why would Hatton ridicule exercise routines of PBF's that he couldn't do himself?

I dont know if there are many fighters that can do that scripted routine because of the speed component, maybe Judah or malinaggi, but the fact remains that it is mainly for show. Like someone else says, the trainer does most of the work.

i have no comment one way or the other about the mitts, but the jump rope work that floyd does is sick. it is hard as hell, and exhausting !

yeah when he does the pad work is just for show, ive seen him when he gets serious about and focuses on the pads.

But when the camera is there he doesnt do much work, but whatever he does that for like 30 seconds for the camera, then he gets serious.

Regardless Floyd made fun of Hatton to, i dont know why ur taking it personal Asian. Dont worry everything is going to be ok, u'll survive lol

I'm not sure where Hatton was coming from there, but if he seriously had that kind of mindset about PBF's training, then he's really out there.
I know but Floyd was mocking the way Hatton trains first. Remember when he told Roger to hold his hands out real wide, and he was mocking the screaming Hatton does and the wide hooks.

I was backstage at Paulie's fight against Edner Cherry on HBO (if you watched on HBO, I was ringside in a blue Yankee hat). Believe me, Paulie's padwork doesn't compare to Floyd's. I've seen Buddy McGirt up in Vero Beach doing pads with some pretty fast guys, they don't do what he does. As I've said before, most of the fighters I've spoken to about PBF's padwork are amazed at how special a talent is on display.

About the Hatton bit, I'm not sure where his heart was at. Maybe he was just mocking. But if he was serious, that wouldn't make any real sense because it displayed the same kind of attitude you might see in a bar where the big bearded drunk guy with biker stuff on is talking about how he'd crush Muhammad Ali's fancy ass.

See, I didn't see that. I was under the presumption that Hatton really didn't respect Mayweather's training habits.

Actually, that was after Hatton's piss take. Floyd followed up with the fairly unfunny imitations in response.

God, I hate being such a pedantic ****.

I've seen clips of Guzman and Oscar doing the Floyd Sr. pad routine and they were just as impressive as Floyd. Hell even Bojado looks impressive doing it.

                    (minute 2:16)

this is how u do pad work, not stand in one place and throw 1-2 all days. What floyd does is just for the fans, then he probably does the same

its scripted, I dont care how cool it looks. Everyone knows pbf is p4p #1 mad skillz n all but cmon all this means is roger mayweather and floyd practice this specific exercise a lot.
