What I'm trying to prove is that many people seem to think the fight was basically over because there was only 2 seconds and they should have let him finish. 5 seconds is a big difference and enough time to do a lot of damage and therefore I don't think it was garbage. ok?

I'm just messing with you man. But I think Taylor could have held on for those last few seconds. And I think he earned the right to do so. Thats all I'm getting at.

Anyone who buys into Steele's bull**** about protecting the fighter should watch the first Barkley-Hearns fight. After a devastating knockdown Hearns barely gets up, Steele doesn't even give him a second look and of course Hearns falls apart seconds later. What happened to Steele having to get his questions answered then? Yeah, not so important when he is protecting the house fighter. Watch this fight if you don't believe me.

Steele knew there were only seconds left because the 10 second warning lights were lit up. He neglected to make sure Chavez was in a neutral corner (he wasn't). With a couple of seconds left and Chavez not in the neutral corner, there was no chance of Meldrick being hit again. If you don't believe me, watch the tape. Steele was protecting Don King's fighter that night and he stole that fight from a deserving Meldrick Taylor. Don't believe all the bull**** about his questions not being answered or it not mattering how much time was left.

Damn right man...............that's probably the best response posted on this thread. My heart goes out to Taylor cos he was a Champion that night.

Man i feel really pissed at him as well for telling taylor he needed to win the round, what kind of glasses was he wearing!!

It just seems as though on the night everything went against taylor and i guess the impact of seeing how his life has now gone downhill just makes me feel really angry. He didn't desrve that.

dumb arse Duva stepping on to the apron, distracting Taylor, the ref sabatoging Taylor, and Taylor having to much heart for his own good, turned this fight into the darkest, saddest boxing tragedy I ve ever seen. I hate it.To get the talent beat outta ya just makes me absolutely sick. And Boxing should ve been ashamed to let this man go into the ring and get hit by one more damn punch after the obvious god damn brain damage Taylor has had over the past 10 years.
