Where do people get 2 seconds from? Looks there was somewhere between 4-5 seconds left when Steele called it. If he sent him out fighting for another 4-5 seconds who knows what would have happened to Taylor, as though what happened to him already isn't bad enough. This combined with Taylor not responding, in my opinion, was enough to stop the fight.

No, it was more like six when Richard Steele asked Taylor if he could continue, which Taylor nodded, TWICE, that he could. With two seconds left, Steele stopped the fight.
I know the rules are there for the fighters protection. And I know Richard Steele is human. But if your going to be a championship fight caliber referee, you have to know when the last ten seconds of a round is, you have to know when a fighter nods after being asked if he can continue, he can, and you don't ****ing stop that fight with two seconds left when there is that much at stake.
I'm not even arguing about it anymore. That **** was a travesty, and anybody claiming otherwise is delusional.

Since when is it a referee's job to help a fighter make it out of a round? Was it a horrible way to end the fight? Yes. You wont find anybody (well, many) who will debate that. But that's how it ended and Steele is not to be faulted in any way for doing his job properly.

Should he have been able to hear the 10 second warning when the roof was blowing off because the fans were going nuts?

I didn't see Taylor nod, I saw him look away.

He DID nod, and he did look away, at his corner.
What the **** did ya'll expect Taylor to do? Answer Steele by replying, "Yes, I'am perfectly fine, thank you?" He was spitting up blood.
I'm all for protecting the fighters. And if I could have heard the damn ten second warning watching from my T.V., I think Richard Steele could have heard it INSIDE the ring.
            But it is what is.
I think I'm more angered by what has become of Meldrick then maybe the fight itself.
But, until my casket drops, I still think that fight should have went to the score cards...

I just watched it again. Steele waived off the fight exactly when the clock went from 5 to 4 seconds. So again, where does this 2 second thing come from? Was the clock on the television incorrect?

The OFFICIAL result was JCC, TKO 2:58, in the 12th round.
Are you arguing with over 2 seconds with me dude? What are you trying to prove?
The **** was garbage, and if you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

                    Nope.
Kostya Tszyus' KO of JCC is far greater.
And yes, I'm mad... HA HA HA..
No, your right ULTIMATE. It was a great fight. I just was disappointed with the outcome.
I can't blame JCC. He did what he had to to put Taylor in that posistion.

I think you could be pretty much right.
That sort of ending to a fight, and the fight itself makes it so memorable, and has a sad sad touch to it, that makes me tingle.

                      Very very memorable fight.
