This is Whittaker talking by the way. Duran was a beast at LW and is top 3 ATG IMHO. What other lightweight comes up and beats down not win but literally beat down the reigning undisputed MW champion? That guy was a devil in the ring and had a granite chin, dont see Chavez lasting a full 12 or the 15rounds they used in there days.

I thought you didn't know what you were talking about, but it isn't that. Its that you were just in diapers to know who and what is going no in boxing. "he was a bit out of his game" lmao.

What do you think of this. Chavez ko'd Mayweather then made him quit on the stool in Chavez prime. Yet, Tszyu in prime form fought an old, very old Roger Mayweather and went the distance with him.

Its kind of funny now to read your post.

Excellent post, dont try to debate or retort, why do that when it requires so many brain cells to work. No its easier to just call some one young or ****** or even a hater and side step whatever is being discussed.

Duran is too hard a hitter especially at 135lbs and Chavez while having a very good chin was infamous for his I'll take 2 or 3 to land one type of style. He wouldn't be able to afford taking that type of punishment from Duran.

BTW please feel free to respond to this post with another cute little quip, preferrably about my age.

Lol he cant be objective...if its any mexican fighter at all ferocity's mouth will be attached to his balls. I bet if Duran was mexican ferocity would have a different opinion.

I agree with you Duran was a beast at lightweight, people have forgotten he gave Hagler a very tough time while fighting 25 pounds above his weight class and being out of his prime, Hagler won a close decision. When JCC was out of his prime he got KTFO by Tszyu and Oscar.

You can ask all the old school posters(been on site for the past 1-2 years) about me and my long debates. Now, its out dated for me to read the same **** from posters like you and I have to write the same words. If i felt like it i would but maybe next time i'll be here to present my case for hours.

Duran has a granite chin but he was knocked down, before Chavez ever was and Chavez unlike Duran was not knocked down in his prime or ever ko'd a little bit past his prime like Duran was, Chavez tko'd but never ko'd even in old age.

Chavez defense is under rated, he could stand in front of you and make you miss when he wanted and took shots cause he could.

I honestly belive if they fought neither would be the same ever again, there both too determined to win. It would have been on hell of a fight.

Again son, you're showing you ignorance. Heres some knowledge, Roberto Duran is Mexican(and Panamainian) - don't hate.

He was a beast, even though Duran (unlike prime Chavez) lost and got knocked down, but yes, he was a beast.

Chavez was knocked down by Frankie Randall, dont let your bias get to you my friend. I like how you mention Duran was Mexican and then in brackets have Panamanian, when the fact is his Father was Panamanian. He was Panamanian first.

The thing is Duran did'nt have a padded record like Chavez till he was 70-0, and Duran fought much better fighter than Chavez, MUCH BETTER FIGHTERS.

Also Duran did'nt get any gifts like Chavez hence Chavez has a longer undefeated record

No, the Mother was Panamanin and the Dad was a Mexican sailor - "damn, ferocity you dropping knowledge on the kid." I mentioned he was knocked down.

Duran fought everybody so did Chavez but the fight were putting them in and were talking about them fighting at lightweight not who's fought better competition.

Gifts, man your spitting so much bull**** its funny.
