Roberto Duran v. Julio Cesar Chavez @ Lightweight, who wins?

It would probably be dubbed some bull**** like: Macho Time or the Battle of Machismo lol

It would be a war and an instant classic and probably one of the best fights that could ever be made in history.
@ Lightweight, who do you think wins and how??

Duran by SD. He was a BIT better of a boxer and since I don't see eithe guy getting stopped. Duran would then get the edge. But in a very tough, macho, close fight.

Your not going to get flamed by me, because Chavez was overrated. Had a padded record till he was 60-0, got a gift in the Taylor and Whitaker fights, got beat by Frankie Randall and then got beat by Oscar and Tszyu even though in the Zoo fight he was a bit out of his game

Chavez had a great chin and I dont think he would get stopped or dropped.
I think Chavez only wins like 4 rounds in a 12 round fight, reason being Duran was faster and even made Leonard miss later @ welterweight so he would have no problem making Chavez miss being that Chavez wasn't all that fast. Roberto has more skill and was a better boxer plus whatever Chavez could dish out Roberto would be able to take but vise versa since Chavez has been in with some heavy power punchers and kept coming forward or being hurt.

He made Taylor piss blood. How the hell was that a gift?
                Chavez ended Meldrick's career.
Anyway this thread isn't about if he was over-rated or not, you can start another thread if you would like but not here.

oh and Demirturk, whats your reasoning behind your pick?
by the way your coming off it seems like you don't know anything bout Chavez.
Chavez had one of the hardest chins in boxing history if he could take Edwin Rosario's punches I don't see why he couldn't take Duran's.

Taylor was outboxing the **** out of him literally, With 17 seconds left in the fight Chavez floored Taylor. Taylor beat the 10 count and got back to his feet at six, When the ref Richard Steele twiced asked Taylor if he wanted to continue, Taylor nodded twice, he does but Steele waved the fight off with just two seconds left awarding Chavez a win by TKO. But that was a robbery like it not, and Chavez was overrated like it or not.

chavez isnt fast but he is accurate and has great timing...duran would win by overwhelming him with activity and physicalty, but i see chavez countering with some effective hard punches...iits honestly a very close fight because the slick counterpunching inside duran did would not work on chavez that much, hed have to pressure with his jab and get inside fast to get some punches, then go out...eating some accurate counters on his way out...
