Kostya Tszyu held the WBC, WBA and IBF belts concurrently after beating Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell (after picking up a vacant WBC belt). He was stripped by the WBC and WBA for political reasons (apparently the WBC frowns upon fighters taking time off unless their name is Floyd Mayweather or Vitali Klitschko, then it's probably OK) but still held the IBF belt and was unbeaten before he faced Hatton therefore Hatton is the linear champ.

It's hard to be "undisputed" as in holding all or most of the big four belts, because the rankings vary so much between the different sanctioning bodies. One body's champion is not another's mandatory, hence Hatton gets stripped of the IBF belt for fighting Castillo instead of fighting N'Dou.

i yuo was a true boxing fan then you would not say hatton is an average fighter.

as you know reach is important in fighting and for his reach he is an excellent fighter and a good boxer. if you actually got to see boxing matches of all sorts that happen across the world and see how crap they are then you will understand that hatton is more than better than average. yes against top boxers at 147 he will be ****. against people of the 140 division he is average?

okay so who at 140 makes him look average.

"F" the titles. There used to be one, then two, then three, now four, WTF, get rid of them. Soon you will have to win five, six, seven, etc. Get the point? when is it going to stop.

I like what Larry Merch said about just going to the store and buying a belt if you want a belt.

And if Hatton fights Witter, Rees, Paulie, Torres for their titles, he should do us all a favor and throw them right in the trash.

He is still the Champion in the division, end of story.

Witter has been badmouthing Hatton since before Hatton won the British title. He hasn't been challenging him ever, winning the WBC belt is the first time Witter could possibly have anything that Hatton might want. And even then Hatton's eye was on Mayweather which was the biggest prize in boxing.

Maybe now, maybe if Junior can keep a hold of the WBC belt for another eight months or so he might possibly be on Hatton's radar for any other reason than "They live near each other".
