Arum and Diaz say that the 'Pretty Boy' was offered in the neighborhood of $7 million to face Margarito. In what could best be described as a 'business move', the same guy who brazenly challenged the bigger Winky Wright decided to bypass Margarito, to collect nearly $4 million to spar with Sharmba Mitchell.

Leonard Ellerbe, a Mayweather adviser, told ESPN.com that the Mayweather camp has been informed that De La Hoya won't fight again this year.

"Every indication we've gotten from Golden Boy Promotions is that he is not going to fight this year," Ellerbe said. "They have not indicated what exactly he will do, but he is not fighting Floyd Mayweather and he is not fighting this year. That's what we've been told."

Hey here's an idea for Floyd. He had a very tough year fighting the prime Oscar De La Hoya and the true welterweight i mean IBC Junior welterweight champ Ricky Hatton. Floyd has earned a year off for 2008, a year of easy fights, a "All Pay Glory To FLoyd World Tour" if you will. Three easy fights for FLoyd to give back to his fans three special exhibitions of the greatest fighteer eve. Floyd can make $10 million per fight.

Of course Mayweather had a tough year fighting a hall of famer still in great shape and much bigger than him while not being much older, and against an opponent his size. If you're implying that Ricky isn't a REAL welter weight, then what is Floyd and what does that say about Margarito trying to fight a former Jr. Light weight at his first trip up? Oh yea, he's a warrior.
