Arum and Diaz say that the 'Pretty Boy' was offered in the neighborhood of $7 million to face Margarito. In what could best be described as a 'business move', the same guy who brazenly challenged the bigger Winky Wright decided to bypass Margarito, to collect nearly $4 million to spar with Sharmba Mitchell.

"Flat turned him down like you can not believe," Arum said of Mayweather when he was offered a chance at the WBO title. "Any time we raised his name, Mayweather went crazy."

Could it be that Mayweather will never get in the ring with him?

"I don't know, you never say never," said Arum last week in Los Angeles, where he was in town for Klitschko's open workout with the media. "Floyd is a very proud guy. The more people talk about all these guys ducking Margarito, of anybody, Floyd is the one who'll step up and say,'I'll face him'. He's a ballsy guy but his people have told him that Margarito is the most dangerous guy for him out there."
Ain't that bob Arum talking, da bobfather...your gonna take his word? And i don't know boxing, ain't that the same guy who said I was lying yesterday and telling da truth today, ain;t he da one who said Floyd was the best thing since Ali and now he won't fight anybody who he thinks he will lose too. U act as if Bob doesn't have a motive and scorned.

Does any of this matter? Margarito lost has fallen in the rankings and justified Floyd not fighting him.

Hey here's an idea for Floyd. He had a very tough year fighting the prime Oscar De La Hoya and the true welterweight i mean IBC Junior welterweight champ Ricky Hatton. Floyd has earned a year off for 2008, a year of easy fights, a "All Pay Glory To FLoyd World Tour" if you will. Three easy fights for FLoyd to give back to his fans three special exhibitions of the greatest fighteer eve. Floyd can make $10 million per fight.

Who to handpick as opponents? Let's see...

First up how about Antonio Margarito as an easy defense? Even though the Mexico based WBC does not rate the Mexican Margarito - HMMMMMM (Best team in boxing) they could make a special exception for Floyd (sure his best team in boxing can square away the details). Meaning Floyd can handpick the D level, easy money, five losses former WBO champ Margarito as his first defense of 2008. The fight would sell to as many boxing fans are delusional that Margarito could beat Floyd or give him a tough fight, and that buzz would grow the fight in stature whihc would add up to more PPV monies for Money Mayweather.

Easy work, easy money, how about it for FLoyd as an easy April defense? Floyd deserves as easy fight now don't he? thus he can make Cotto to keep waiting onthe sidelines.
